Charitable Contribution Program
At Myers Industries, we believe that sharing our success in the communities with which we do business is key to community development.  With the help of our employees, we strive to create a positive impact on our communities, making them better places to live and work.
Myers community involvement can be any combination of charitable contributions, including leadership assistance, employee volunteering in local civic and charitable organizations or financial support.  We believe in supporting organizations, projects and programs that encourage the future development and well-being of local communities.

While employees have the opportunity to donate time and funds to the community organization of their choice, Myers has chosen some key areas of focus that the organization feels strongly
connected to.
  • Education and Youth Development
  • Community and Civic Development
  • Health and Social Services
  • Environmental Efforts

Each year, the Charitable Contributions Committee (CCC)* will designate a set amount for charitable contributions that fit into one of the above categories and meet the following eligibility requirements:
  • The organization is a federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization
  • The organization adheres to all anti-discrimination laws, including but not limited to age, race, disabilities, sexual orientation, religion and civil rights
  • A representative from the organization completes an application as outlined below

Due to the volume of requests received, there are exclusions on the type of organizations eligible for consideration.  The Charitable Contributions Committee will review all requests on a case-by-case basis. The following organizations will not be eligible to receive a charitable contribution from
Myers Industries:
  • Organizations without a current 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status
  • Political parties, lobbying groups, or candidates
  • Labor organizations
  • Individual person or family
  • Nonprofit athletic event or athletic event sponsorship**
  • Registration fees
