Myers community involvement can be any combination of charitable contributions, including leadership assistance, employee volunteering in local civic and charitable organizations or financial support. We believe in supporting organizations, projects and programs that encourage the future development and well-being of local communities.
While employees have the opportunity to donate time and funds to the community organization of their choice, Myers has chosen some key areas of focus that the organization feels strongly

Each year, the Charitable Contributions Committee (CCC)* will designate a set amount for charitable contributions that fit into one of the above categories and meet the following eligibility requirements:
The organization is a federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization
The organization adheres to all anti-discrimination laws, including but not limited to age, race, disabilities, sexual orientation, religion and civil rights
A representative from the organization completes an application as outlined below
Due to the volume of requests received, there are exclusions on the type of organizations eligible for consideration. The Charitable Contributions Committee will review all requests on a case-by-case basis. The following organizations will not be eligible to receive a charitable contribution from
Organizations without a current 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status
Political parties, lobbying groups, or candidates
Individual person or family
Nonprofit athletic event or athletic event sponsorship**
Charitable Contribution Request Process
– The attached form must be fully completed and 501(c)(3) documentation must be provided.
Review of application
– Upon receipt, the application will be reviewed by the CCC for eligibility. If need is for a future date, the application will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
– When a charitable contribution is approved or declined, the organization will receive notification of the funding decision. In the case of approvals, documentation will be maintained by the corporate tax department to ensure proper tax treatment of the contribution. Documentation will also be maintained by the corporate human resources department for future reference.
