Human Resources/Office Manager
BUCKHORN, a plastic injection molding facility located in Springfield, MO is seeking a Human Resources/Office Manager to work under the limited supervision of the Plant Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing the office and areas of human resources, payroll, staffing and benefits as well as heavy involvement with safety and the safety committee. Position requires 2-3 years office management and Human Resources/Safety experience along with PC proficiency in a Windows environment. College degree and HR Certification preferred.
Under the limited supervision of the Plant Manager, the Human Resources/Office Manager oversees the office and areas of personnel, payroll, benefits, safety and other related duties. Interacts with Department Heads to ensure they have personnel needed to maintain production and the safety of the plant.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience working with Human Resources processes, procedures and administration
- Office management and supervision experience
- Experience with salaried and hourly payroll processing
- Experience with benefits administration, including insurance and 401k
- Experience with recruitment, interviewing, new hire orientation and training
- Experience handling employee relations and other Human Resources problems and issues
- Knowledge of employment law and OSHA
- PC proficiency in a Windows environment

Senior Accountant / Analyst
Buckhorn Inc. is a Cincinnati-based industry leader in designing and manufacturing reusable plastic containers, pallets, small parts bins, bulk shipping containers, and storage and organization systems. Our reusable plastic containers replace disposable cardboard boxes and wood pallets to eliminate waste, improve productivity and reduce material handling costs for companies in manufacturing, distribution, food and commercial markets. These products meet a wide variety of needs – from shipping automotive parts to assembly lines, to protecting food items.
We are seeking a talented Senior Accountant / Analyst who will interact with department heads and members of our Corporate Finance department to ensure that financial information is available for making timely and accurate decisions. This includes actively participating and/or leading the implementation, continuous improvement and maintenance of systems, policies, procedures and standards to ensure reliable reporting and to streamline business processes.
Under the supervision of the Division Controller, the Senior Accountant / Analyst is responsible for:
- Coordinating and completing monthly closing activities to ensure that financial statements and general ledgers are closed timely and accurately. This includes preparing all necessary work papers, account analysis, related journal entries and reconciliation of key accounts.
- Coordinating and reviewing monthly financial statements and analysis.
- Conducting a monthly review of balance sheet reserves and accruals highlighting risks and opportunities, and making recommendations on required adjustments.
- Reviewing and determining the reporting and analysis needs of the Accounting department and creating standardized reports.
- Assisting the Division Controller & Director of Finance and MIS in the development of the annual operating and capital plans.
- Preparing monthly financial presentations.
- Participating in a wide variety of projects and compiling a variety of special reports as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting strongly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant or Graduate degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of three years of prior accounting experience
- A team player, who is a highly motivated, self starter with good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of PC spreadsheets, word processing and data base applications (Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point preferred) with knowledge of Hyperion a plus.
