BUCKHORN RUBBER PRODUCTS
ACQUIRES MOLDED SOLUTIONS INC.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 1, 1997, Hannibal, Missouri -- Buckhorn Rubber Products has acquired Molded Solutions Inc. of Mebane, North Carolina. Molded Solutions manufactures bonded rubber to metal products with applications in marine, home and lawn maintenance equipment, recreational vehicles, and heavy equipment. The Company has not released the terms of the acquisition.

"We're pleased to include Molded Solutions as a division of our company," said Dennis Roberts, general manager of Buckhorn Rubber Products. "Their custom molded products give us an expanded presence in several markets."

All Molded Solutions management and employees have agreed to remain with the company following the change of ownership.

Buckhorn Rubber Products, a Myers Industries, Inc. company (AMEX: MYE), utilizes various molding technologies and rubber to metal bonding to manufacture original equipment and replacement parts for the transportation, agriculture, and civil construction industries.
