AMERI-KART CORP. ACQUIRES
OHIO ROTATIONAL MOLDING COMPANY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 4, 1998, Bristol, Indiana USA -- Ameri-Kart Corp. has acquired for cash, all outstanding shares of privately-held Sherwood Plastics, Inc., of Fostoria, Ohio. Sherwood will become part of Ameri-Kart, a Myers Industries company. Terms of the acquisition have not been released.

Founded in 1966, Sherwood Plastics manufactures products with applications in transportation, medical, recreation, consumer, and environmental industries. The company specializes in rotational molding technology.

"Sherwood is a well-run, well-equipped company that will give us a strong presence in several markets that we do not currently serve," said Eric Gottuso, president of Ameri-Kart Corp. "We are pleased to include them in our group."

Sherwood management and employees have agreed to remain with the company following the change of ownership.

Ameri-Kart Corp. is a Myers Industries, Inc. company (AMEX: MYE) and manufactures waste and material handling carts and custom molded products with industrial, commercial, and transportation applications.
