DECLARES REGULAR DIVIDEND

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 15, 1998, Akron, Ohio USA -- A regular quarterly dividend of $.05 per share was declared by Myers Industries, Inc. (AMEX: MYE) Board of Directors at a meeting held today. The dividend will be paid April 1, 1998, to shareholders of record as of March 13, 1998.

Myers Industries, Inc. is a diversified manufacturer of polymer and metal products for industrial, commercial, and consumer markets; and a nationwide wholesale distributor of tire repair and undercar service products.
