DECLARES REGULAR DIVIDEND

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 29, 1998, Akron, Ohio USA -- Myers Industries, Inc. (AMEX: MYE) Board of Directors, at a meeting held Thursday, October 29, 1998, declared a regular quarterly dividend of $.06 per share. The dividend will be paid January 4, 1999, to shareholders of record as of December 11, 1998.

Myers Industries, Inc. is a diversified manufacturer of polymer and metal products for industrial, commercial, and consumer markets; and a nationwide distributor of tire repair and undercar service products.
