DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 25, 1999, Akron, Ohio USA -- A regular quarterly dividend of $.06 per share was declared by Myers Industries, Inc. (MYE-AMEX) Board of Directors at a meeting held today. The dividend will be paid April 1, 1999, to shareholders of record as of March 12, 1999.

Myers Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer of polymer and metal products for industrial, commercial, and consumer markets, and the largest wholesale distributor of tools, equipment, and supplies for the tire service and automotive underbody repair industry in the United States.
