Dr. Helmuth Ludwig was appointed to the Myers Industries Board of Directors in October 2025, bringing 35 years of experience in international business leadership. He currently serves as Professor of Practice for Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, a position he has held since January 2020.
Previously, Dr. Ludwig spent 30 years with Siemens in executive leadership positions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His roles included President of Siemens PLM Software, CEO of the Siemens Industry Sector in North America, and Global Chief Information Officer.
His current board affiliations include Humanetics Group, where he serves as Chair, and Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), where he serves as a director and member of the Audit Committee. He also serves on the board of the North Texas Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Dr. Ludwig holds an engineering degree from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a doctorate from Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel.
