Yvette Dapremont Bright was elected to the Myers Industries Board of Directors in February 2021. She currently serves as President of Brighter Horizon Foundation.
Ms. Dapremont Bright retired as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Philadelphia-based Independence Blue Cross, where she was the first woman and leader of color to have responsibility for Commercial and Medicare P&Ls, with revenues exceeding $6 billion. In previous executive roles at Independence, she led the company’s eBusiness evolution, transformed its systems, and led efforts that resulted in millions of dollars in increased revenues and reduced costs.
Ms. Dapremont Bright spent the first 10 years of her career with IBM in the U.S. and Europe. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the Tulane University School of Engineering and an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.
